RITA ROSE SNELL of Clearlake passed away on Monday, April 12, 2004, at her home. She was the widow of Thomas Edward Snell, who predeceased her on October 24, 1983. She was also predeceased by two sisters, Isabelle Ghiglione and Lucy Biasotti. She is survived by her daughter Susan Cochrane and son-in-law Kenneth of Landrum, SC, her special, little four-legged buddy, Pepe, four grandsons, Daniel Cochrane and wife Amity of Nampa, ID, Kenneth Cochrane and wife Anja of Bad Hersfeld, Germany, Eric Cochrane and wife Raylene and great-granddaughter Wenona of Springfield, MO, and Steven Cochrane of Layton, UT, one brother Ed Vacha of Point Reyes, CA, and two sisters, Dorothy Bertotti of Susanville, CA and Monica Smearden of Hayward, CA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Rita's parents died when she was a very small girl and she was raised by loving parents, Frank and Bertha Vacha. While Rita was short in stature, she was a giant, loving, giving person to her family and friends, and will be sorely missed by all who knew her. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday at Chapel of the Chimes Ellis Olson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday at Chapel of the Chimes Ellis Olson Funeral Home with burial at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Ellis-Olson Chapel of the Chimes "Service of Marked Distinction" 4499 Piedmont Avenue, Oakland, CA.
