Former Resident Is Laid To Rest Her Wednesday P. M.

Funeral services fro Mrs. Lizzie Christian, 89, wife of John C. Christian and a former resident of Princeville for many years, were held at the Bouton Memorial home yesterday afternoon at 2 p. m. with Rev. Arnold Dalzell officiating. She was laid to rest in the Princeville Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons of the deceased: Carl Grimm, Earl Hopkins, Harold Porter, John Christian, Emil Seivert and Joe Bitner.
She was born on a farm near Princeville September 23, 1860, the daughter of Alfred and Dorothy Young Wilson and passed away in St. Francis hospital in Peoria Sunday night. She was united in marriage to John C. Christian October 6, 1886. Mr. and Mrs. Christian quietly observed their 63rd wedding anniversary at the home of their son Wilbur just three weeks ago.
For the past three years Mts. Christian had been residing in Peoria at the home of her son Wilbur.
She was a member of the Methodist church and Union Grove Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, both of Princeville.
Surviving are her husband; two sons, Wilbur of Peoria and Horace of Daytona Beachi, Fla.; one daughter, Mrs. Hattie Cosgrove of Eagle Lake, Texas; eight grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
