He was the son of James O. and Alice Duggins Aby and was born on a farm near Dunlap May 27, 1893. He passed away September 27, 1962 at the age of 69 years, four months.
January 28, 1914, he was married to Clara McKown and to this union was born a daughter, Eloise, now Mrs. Frank Kelly of Princeville; a son, William O. Aby of Dallas, Texas, who survive him, together with two granddaughters, Mary Ann Kelly and Loretta Lee Aby, one sister, Mrs. Fern Moffitt and two nieces, Mrs. Zella Hargadine of Peoria and Mrs. Mildred Belski of Princeville. His parents and one sister, Mrs. Fred Bliss, preceded him in death.
He farmed for many years until he and his family moved to Princeville. He had been associated with the Graves Chevrolet Motor Sales for some thirty-five years.
He was a member of the Princeville Methodist Church and served several years as clerk of the village board.
Services were held in the Bouton Memorial Home Saturday at 2 p.m., Rev. Samuel Parker of the Methodist church officiated.
Casket bearers were Orville Smith, Howard Stoecker, Edward Conley, Leo Hietter, Marvin Bliss and Ervin Martin.
