Henry Clay Griffin

Funeral services were October 27 for Henry Clay Griffin, 69, a former resident of Davis. Services were conducted by Rev. W. Berry Norwood at Fox Funeral Chapel. Interment was in Green Hill Cemetery, with arrangements by Fox Funeral Home.

Griffin was born November 22, 1917 at Davis and died Oct. 24 at Wedgewood Nursing Home, Ft. Worth, TX. He married Dovie Lee on March 2, 1938 in Marietta and moved from Davis in 1939. He was retired from General Dynamics and was a member of the Baptist Church.

His survivors include his wife of the home; a daughter, Barbara Meyers, Ft. Worth; a half sister, Ruby Love, Stillwater; a half brother, Claude Cotton, Pauls Valley; and two grandchildren of Ft. Worth.

Pallbearers were Perman Strickland Jr., Bruce Springer, Bobby Dixon, Lester Hawkins, Paris Price, J. E. Manor, Harold Deatherage and Floyd Chambless.
