My Grandma -

Affectionately known as GGma to the great-grand children.

Ruth Emily Eckl was born on Sunday, November 17, 1912 in Milwaukee, WI. She was of German descent.

She met and married Karl Hermann Crucius on June 4, 1938. Together they had two children, daughter Carole and son Robert. She worked in a shoe factory for a few years. In 1974, she and Grandpa moved to San Antonio, Tx to be near their daughter and her children.

Grandma was a very loving woman. Her house always smelled so good! She made the best cookies and cakes, not to mention the breaded pork chops and bratwurst! She passed on her recipe for making Butter Horns, a family favorite! And she loved to sew, making little dresses for her two older grand daughters.

She and Grandpa were foster grand-parents for a few years. They took care of about 35 babies prior to their adoptions.

Grandma passed away on Saturday, January 12, 1991 at the age of 78 years, 1 month and 26 days. She was survived by her two children, 6 grand children and 6 great-grand children. I miss my Grandma very much.

A Very Very special Thank You to Caroline Panagopulos for sponsoring my Grandma's memorial!
