Nora Marie"Nina" Atchley, 81, of Kansas City, KS, died Friday, September 26, 2008 at Presbyterian Manor. Graveside Services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 30, at the National Cemetery, Leavenworth, KS. Friends may call 6-8:00 P.M. Monday at the Porter Funeral Home, 1835 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, KS. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to The American Cancer Society 6700 Antioch Rd., Suite 100 Merriam, KS 66204. Nina was born January 30, 1927, in Mountain Grove, MO. She was a member of the PTA and a Mentor and Teacher's Aide for Stony Point South Elementary School. She was preceded in death by her husband Alvin W. "Buddy" Atchley, brothers Donald & Bill Lee and a twin brother Joe Warren Lee, sisters June Hopkins, Beulah McClurg and Francis Gill. She is survived by 2 children Larry D. and his wife Karen Atchley, Kansas City, KS, Sherry M. Atchley, North Kansas City, MO, 5 grandchildren Shannon M. and her husband Darin Thomsen, Ameircus, KS, Chad G. Atchley, Edwardsville, KS, Jeffery and his wife Jennifer Atchley, Edwardsville, KS, David M. Glenn, Independence, MO, Joseph J. Glenn, Emporia, KS, 7 great grandchildren Kyle A. Mendez, Kayla M.
