RHODES Russell Lavern, 69, of Kingston, Ok., died Tuesday, June 27, 1989. He was born Dec. 12, 1919 at Maysville, Ok. to Cliff and Pearl Rhodes.

They lived in Pauls Valley until he was 9 years old. He lived in OKC most of his life then moved to Prague and later to Willis in 1985. He was married Aug. 11, 1940 to Loretta Flanagan. He served in the Army during WWII, received the Purple Heart and Oak Leaf Cluster. Life time member of Disabled American Veterans. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survived by his wife, Loretta of the home; 3 children, Sheri Adair of Kingston, Ok., Russell (Bo) Rhodes of Dallas, Tx. and Judy Lynn Marshall of Titusville, Fl.; 3 brothers, Walter, Charley and Lloyd Rhodes, all of OKC; 2 sisters, Verna Ellen Coffal of Fl. and Mary Francis Lee, OKC; 7 grandchildren, Terri Lynn Rhodes Wages, Jan Adair Reed, Karen Lynette Adair Baker, Russell Lionel Rhodes Jr., Jeffery Wayne Adair, Tracie Ann Smith; 7 great grandchildren, Shawn Michael Reed, Joseph Russell Wages, Jeremy Scott Wages, Brance Elliot Wages, Michael Blake Baker, Austin Edwin Colbert, Beau Brandon Baker.
