Services for Lomas "Lanny" David Bray will be Monday, September 29, 2008, 2 p.m. at the Craddock Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Dewain Duck officiating. Interment will follow at the Lone Grove Cemetery.
Lanny was born May 17, 1933, at Deese to David C. & Vera Georgia Forguson Bray. He passed from this life on September 27, 2008, in Wilson at the age of 75.
He was a lifelong resident of this area. He and Shirley J. Young were married in Gainesville,
Texas in 1956. She has preceded him in death. He was a self-employed oilfield pumper. He loved to farm, work in the oilfield, on pumps, and respected a hard days work.
He is survived by his children, Lanna Bray, of Oklahoma City, Derrell Bray, of Atoka, Jerrell Bray, of Lawton, Fernna Forsythe, of Wilson, Derren Bray, of Lone Grove; sisters Carolyne Smith, of Ardmore, Lou Godwin, of Ardmore; brothers, Roy Bray, of Oklahoma City,
Jay Bray, of Lone Grove, C.W. Bray, of Lone Grove; 11 grandchildren, five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Brandy Gwendolyn Bray, his parents, wife, Shirley, brothers, Edward Bray and Bill Bray, sisters, Glenda Watkins, Opal Green and Margaret Green.
Pallbearers will be Travis Gore, Billy Johnson, Gary Mashore, Otis Harris, Rodney Green, Derren Bray and Larry Forsythe.
The family will receive friends this evening from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
