TISHOMINGO - John Henry Cosby, 94, died Saturday, June 5, 2004, at his residence. He was a member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church and Jackson Camp Baptist Church. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 412 for 64 years.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Belmont with Bro. Mavous Phifer officiating. Burial will be in the Jackson Camp Cemetery.
Survivors include one son, Harold Cosby of Battle Creek, Mich.; one brother, James Cosby and his wife, Betty, of Tishomingo; one sister, Clora Westbrook and her husband, Julian, of Meridian; many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Shackleford Cosby; his parents, Jim and Emma Cosby; one brother, Wilmer Cosby; two sisters, Jessie Fay Pardue and Bessie Shackleford. Pallbearers will be Masons. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8
