Services will be held Friday, Dec. 12, 1:30 p.m., at First English Lutheran Church in Lennox for Evelyn Dalziel who died in Rockport, Texas on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003. She attained the age of 91 years, two months and 10 days.
Officiating during the service will be the Rev. Hugh Brewer. Interment will be held in the Lennox Cemetery.
Evelyn A. Dalziel was born at Alvord, Iowa on Sept. 26, 1912, the daughter of Herman and Minnie Kroeger. She attended elementary school and grew to womanhood there.
On Mar. 9, 1936 she was united in marriage to Lloyd A. Dalziel in Sioux Falls.
Following their marriage they lived in Flandreau, SD. In 1945 they moved to Lennox where she spent the better part of her life. He husband died on Mar. 12, 1976. She continued to make her home in Lennox. In April of 2002, she moved to Rockport, TX to be near her son.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one son in infancy; one grandson, Scott Dalziel; four brothers and one sister.
Grateful for having shared her life are her son, Dennis Dalziel and his wife, Myra, of Rockport, Texas; her daughter, Deborah Steever and her husband, Myron, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
