Verna Louise was the ninth child born to William Harvey and Cload Owna (Whitebread) Cummings. She passed away in a Colorado Hospital due to spinal meningitis. She leaves to mourn her loss her parents and nine siblings: Galen, Eva, Gladys, Cecil, John Ray, Marie, Edgar, Eulavee and her 13 day old brother Clency.

Verna was originally buried in the Payton Cemetery but moved to Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs with her father and brother Clency.
