Col. Jonathan Colby died in Holland, Erie County, Thursday, at the age of ninety-one years, six months and two days. He was one of the earliest residents of Erie county, and among the first settlers on the Holland Purchase. He had served during the war of 1812, and received a Colonel's commission when the State militia was organized.
