Death at the age of 86.
Mrs Eliza Wallace, Great Granddaughter of Daniel Boone, Died Wednesday afternoon.
Mrs. Eliza Wallace, widow of John W. Wallace and great grand daughter of Daniel Boone, died at her home near Raytown Wednesday. She was 86 years of age and her death was from no special sickness, old age bearing its toll from a long life.
Mrs. Wallace was one of the vigorous pioneers of the early day in Jackson County. She came here from Kentucky fifty years ago and has been a resident ever since, at all times a vigorous industrious, active woman. She lived near Young's Chapel on the Raytown Road. There are three living children, the Rev. C. P. Wallace of Sweet Springs, Mo. John Sep Wallace and Mrs. T. W. Cassell, all were present at her bed side when death came.
The funeral will be conducted from the Young's Chapel church Friday morning at 11 o'clock, burial at the Independence City Cemetery.
