She married Frederick William Hill 31 Dec 1936 in Manhattan, Riley, Kansas.

Mary Elizabeth Hill. Mary Elizabeth Hill of 10 Tallmadge Road, Northport, died on February 16, 1979 at Huntington Hospital. Interment was at Huntington Rural Cemetery. Long active in community affairs including PTA, church, scouting, Heart Fund, Fort Salonga Civic Association and other worthy causes, Mrs. Hill, the daughter of William S. and Margaret Dooley Allman, was born in Riley County, Kansas on October 28, 1912. She attended rural schools and graduated from Manhattan H.S. and received her B.S. degree in Home Economics from Kansas State College in June 1934. While at college she was a founding member of Clovia the National 4H Sorority and served as President of Kappa Phi, Browning Literary Society, Intersociety Council and the YM-YW Student Activities Council. She served with Wesley Foundation gospel teams and as concert pianist for radio station KSAC. Following graduation she taught in Mt. Hope and Holyrood, Kansas schools and was united in marriage with Frederick William Hill, December 31, 1936. The couple resided successively in Sharon Springs, Kansas, Albany, N.Y., Abington, Pa., Yonkers, N.Y., Minneapolis, MN, and most recently in Fort Salonga, Northport while her husband served as Deputy Supt. in N.Y. City and as Supt. of Hicksville schools. Beloved wife and mother, she is survived by two daughters, Ruthann Murray, and Mary Hoban of Minnesota; three sons, Frederick A. in California, William E. in Centereach, N.Y., and Robert J. in Minnesota and also foster daughters Tomoko Mori and Akiko Sano from Japan, and three foster sons, Ulrich Freitag from Germany, Carsten Jespersen from Denmark and Shaukat Hayat from Pakistan. She was active in local and state PTA's, having been Vice-president of PTA councils in Abington, PA., Yonkers, N.Y., and Minneapolis, MN. She helped found the PTA for the new Kings Park High School. She served as "First Lady" of the New York State Association of School Business Officials and the International Association of School Business Officials of the United States and Canada, traveling to every state and province in the two countries. She was active in the community and church affairs of the Centerport Methodist Church serving as President of the Co-Weds, Chairwoman of the Pilgrim State Volunteers and as an executive board member of the Woman's Society for Christian Service and the Annual Church Fair Committee. She had also worked with the Education Commission, as secretary for the Administrative Board and had helped establish a "Meals for Shut-ins" program. She will be fondly remembered by her family, her fifteen grandchildren, and her host of friends across the continent. Reposing was at Jacobsen's Funeral Home and the memorial service was at Centerport Methodist Church on Monday, February 19, 1979. The family requested that in lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory be sent to the Centerport Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society,
