Obit: Carroll Krohmer died Wednesday of last week at Roosevelt Memorial Hospital at the age of 74. An avid pinochle player and fisherman, Carroll Krohmer was a retired rancher who had homesteaded in the Froid area since 1907.

He was born Dec. 22, 1906 in Epham (Upham), ND, a son of Mr. & Mrs. Gus Krohmer. He married Karen (Carrie) Hansen Nov. 17, 1932 in Dagmar. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Laverne of Wold Point, Dwight of Great Falls, and Jerry of Froid; a daughter, Mrs. Dean (Cheryl) Walrod of Hamilton; two brothers, Melvin of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, and Delmer of Froid; a sister, Mrs. Grace Luebke of Shelby; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services were Monday at the First Lutheran Church in Froid. Burial was in Froid South Cemetery with Everson-Clayton Chapel in charge of arrangements.
