BREMEN, IN - Ananias Hochstetler, eighty-two years old, died at 2:30 oclock Saturday afternoon at his home four miles east of Bremen after an illness of several days of a heart ailment. He was born January 18, 1858, in Bremen and had resided in this community all his life.

On December 4, 1882, he was united in marriage with Mary Buss, who survives. He leaves also three sons, Wallace R and Melvin A. Hochstetler, of Nappanee and Oliver Hochstetler of near Nappanee; one daughter, Miss Eva Hochstetler at home; two sisters, Miss Sarah Hochstetler of Nappanee and Mrs Elizabeth Templeton of Nampa, Idaho; one brother, Martin S Hochstetler of Bremen. There are nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at two o'clock Tuesday afternoon in the South Union church. Rev Hugh Miller, pastor of the Bremen Church of the Brethren, assisted by Rev Charles C Cripe of Argos, officiated in the service. Burial was in the South Union cemetery.
