David Whitson/Wilson Cook was born 21 July 1842 in Hamilton County, Indiana, and died 12 Jan 1916 in Fort Dodge , Webster Co, Iowa. He was one of a large family born to John Cook and Sarah Willis, according to my research. Census of 1850 lists them to be his parents. David Cook married Sarah Abigail Oxenreder on Christmas Day, 1865, Lacona, Warren Co, Iowa-he had survived the Civil War, serving from 1862-1865.his wife Sarah had a large family of 12 children : Andrew Brock Cook olive Ellen Cook; Elizabeth Augelina Cook; Otis Woodward Cook; Trustum Wilbur Cook; Ima Arwilda Cook; Asenith Artimecia Cook; Lucy Melzina Cook; Monroe Wellington Cook;Arminta Bunavista Cook; James Orieo Cook, and William Henry Cook- all living to adulthood; only Olive preceded her fatherin death. David W. & Sarah A Cook are buried in this cemetery but apparently have no stones on their graves.
