Robert E. Brusie, 82, resident of Highland Drive, Millerton, died Thursday, January 8, at Sharon Hospital.
He was born in the town of Gallatin, January 28, 1887, the son of Archelaus and Henietta Lown Brusie. His wife, the former Cora Boughton, predeceased him. Mr. Brusie was a former resident of Ancramdale, but had made his home in Millerton for the past 50 years. He had been employed as a school crossing guard, and had also been employed by the Millerton National Bank and the North East Highway Department.
Survivors include a brother, Ellsworth J. Brusie, Hopewell Junction, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Sunday, January 11, at the Valentine Funeral Home, Millerton, the Rev. Gerald Pollock officiated. Burial will be in Ancramdale at the convenience of the family.
