Rev. Quillen went home to be with his Lord on September 5, 2008 at the age of 83. A native of Greensboro, he was born on Aug 7, 1925 to the late Lewis and Pearl Bilbrough Quillen. He proudly served his country during WWII in the US Navy from 1943 to 1946. He was a radio operator on the LST 341 serving in the Pacific Theater. He attended Coyne Electrical School in Chicago. He later graduated from Allentown Bible Institute. While attending ABI he met and married his beloved wife of 60 years, Ruth Washburn. As a loving father he helped raise a family of five children. He was a faithful pastor in the Wesleyan Church, serving in the Maryland and Pennsylvania ministry for 54 years. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
