Wilma Arlene Yarger Way, 85, of Massena died Aug. 3, 2005, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at the United Methodist Church in Massena. The Rev. David Kruse will officiate the service. Burial will be in Massena Center Cemetery. Open visitation will be noon to 8 p.m. today at Steen Funeral Home, 205 W. Fifth St., Massena, and family visitation noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Massena. Memorials may be directed to Massena Public Library or the United Methodist Church. Mrs. Way, daughter of Sylvia (Conine) and Harley Yarger, was born Oct. 28, 1919, in Massena. On March 26, 1938, she married Harold Way. She worked as a bank teller at Farmer's Savings Bank.
Survivors include three children, Charles (wife Sandra) Way of San Antonio, Texas, Dennis Way of Hereford, Ariz., and Patricia (husband Dale) Steffen of Des Moines; brother Ronald (wife Mary Ellen) Yarger of Massena; sister Jeanette (husband Don) Patach of Lakeland, Fla.; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a great-grandson.
