ALFRED ARVIN
Alfred D. Arvin, 50, 3716 Carthage St., died Wednesday at his home. An employee of Ohio Rubber Co., Mr. Arvin was a retired Army major and had been a resident of this city for three years. He was a member of College Terrace Church of Christ, National Lodge No. 411, F and Am, Ratcliff, Scottish Rite Bodies, Amrita Grotto and Western Arkansas Consistry. Mr. Arvin, a native of Mulberry, was a 32nd degree Mason.

Survivors include his widow, Vivienne; five brothers, W.F. Arvin of Denver, Colorado, H.G. Arvin of Mulberry, Arkansas, Gene and Bill King of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Ben King of Montana; five sisters, Mrs. Russell Huggins of Concord, California, Mrs. Lenzy Taff of Mulberry, Mrs. Margory [sic] Trotter of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Mrs. Elmo Brown of Mulberry, Arkansas and Mrs. Al Brown of Roseville, Michigan; two step-brothers, Emmett King of Mountainburg, Arkansas and Selmer King of Ozark, Arkansas; and two step-sisters, Mrs. Ernest White of Jethro, Arkansas and Mrs. Mildred Oger of St. Louis, Missouri.

The body is at Fentress Mortuary. Funeral plans are incomplete.

Funeral service for Alfred Arvin, 50, 3716 Carthage St., will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Fentress Chapel with Lucian Farrar, Church of Christ minister, officiating. Burial will be at National Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Jim Hall, Joe Partridge, Clarence Son, Reul Sams, Bob Loudermilk, and Earl Oliver.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Gibson, Loren Parker, Lester Walker, Don Neal, John Cox, Shelby Breedlove, and Bill Jenkins.

Mr. Arvin died Wednesday at his home.
