William A. Anderson, 94, of Sterling, died Wednesday, February 23, 2000 in Brush.
Visitation and viewing will be held until service time on Monday, Feb. 28 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 28, also at Chaney-Reager, with services concluding at the funeral home. The Rev. Andrew Dimit will officiate. Burial will be at the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Castle Rock at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 29.
Mr. Anderson was born Nov. 19, 1905 at Castle Rock to Elmer and Olga (Decker) Anderson.
He entered the U.S. Army in 1924, and after his discharge, he returned home to farm with his father.
In August 1934 he married Olive "Babe" Benson in Denver. They lived in Larkspur, Hartsel and Crook before moving to Sterling in 1960.
Mr. Anderson worked for the state highway department for several years.
He was a member of the First English Lutheran Church.
Mr. Anderson is survived by his sister, Dorothy Hall of California; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Anderson of Bothell, Wash.; 18 nieces and nephews, and 37 great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife in February 1994; two infant sons and one infant daughter; two brothers, John and Lewis; and one sister, Mary.
