Ollie Mae Rainwater, 85, of Monticello, died January 19, 1985 at Bement Manor Nursing Home. Graveside services were held at Goose Creek Cemetery.

Mrs. Rainwater was born August 27, 1899 at Norfleet KY, d/o Andrew J. and Georgeann Tarter Gaines. She married Sam P. Rainwater on Sept 3, 1914 at Faubush KY. He died April 10, 1978. Survivors include two daughters: Melissa (Walter) Denison and Geneva (Robert) Funk, both of Monticello; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Emma Jennings at home. She was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, four brothers and five sisters.

Mrs. Rainwater retired as a cook from Kirby Hospital in Monticello. She was a member of Monticello Christian Church and Rebekah Lodge. Memorials may be made to the church of Bement Manor Nursing Home.
