They raised their children in Comanche County, near Newburg, and then moved near the Colorado River south of Gouldbusk, Texas. They were the parents of Ollie Couch Lee, Willie Couch Hallford, Myra Couch Farrar, McMordie Couch, and Lena Couch Burleson. He died in 1952 after a lengthy illness.
