Emil's parents were: Johann Gottlieb (John G.) Schenck and Christine Concordia (Schiefer) Schenck who are also buried at Oakland Cemetery (Sec. 10, Blk. 144, Lot 4) as well as other family members (Sec. 12, Lot 720). Both of his parents were born in Saxony, Germany.
