Amanda Jackson Dies at Advance
Rites Wednesday At Home Of Sister
Mrs. Amanda Jane Jackson, 69, died suddenly at about 3 o'clock Monday afternoon at the home of her sister, Mrs. Emma McClaine. A heart attack was blamed for her death.
A former telephone operator pit, Advance for 17 years, Mrs. Jackson had lived for three years in Lebanon and also in Indianapolis. She operated a rooming house here for three years.
She was born at Marysville, Mo.,
May 15, 1869, the daughter of George and Catherine Spencer Jackson.
Surviving, in addition to the sister with whom she made her home, are a sister, Mrs. James Mangus, Indianapolis, a niece, Miss Lena Jackson, a teacher at Jamestown, who also lives with Mrs. McClaine, and several, other nieces and nephews, three brothers and two sisters are deceased.
Funeral services will-be conducted, at the home of Mrs. McClaine at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning with the Rev. John Clark officiating. Burial will be made in the Old Union cemetery near here.
