BARGO, IRENE, age 63, of Walker, was born on September 9, 1937, at Salt Gum, to the late Gilbert Bargo and Axie Mills Bargo. Miss Bargo died at her home, Friday May 11, 2001.

She was a homemaker and was a Baptist Church member at Blanche, Kentucky in Bell County.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Leon.

Miss Bargo is survived by her sisters, Eselene Bargo of Walker, Gelois Fetters of Flat Lick, Retha Mae Bargo of Walker, Lula Smith and husband Escoe of Dewitt, Alene Bargo of Walker, Barbara Sue Bargo of Taylor, Michigan and Dorothy Jean Gabbard and husband Jerry of Corbin; her brothers, Donald Ray Bargo and Eugene Bargo both of Walker; six nieces; three nephews; one great niece; and one great nephew.

Funeral services for Miss Irene Bargo were conducted in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, May 15, 2001 at 2 p.m. where the Rev. Ricky Broughton and the Rev. Earl Hammons officiated. Miss Bargo was laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery.

Hopper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
