He was born to Delbert and Mary (Stevens) Dossey. He graduated from McLoud High School and O.B.U.
He married Sharon Stith May 8, 1982. He was a school teacher, coach and bus driver at Varnum Schools. He was also Varnum academic bowl coach, a collector of history books, and raised bassett hounds.
He was preceeded in death by his mother, Mary Dossey and grandmother, Margaret Stevens.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Dossey; three daughters, Dana Lamberton, Rachelle Carver, and Kristen and husband Josh Rosamond; son, Jason Dossey; son-in-law, Kent Garton; grandchildren, Tasha Stinnet, Joshua Mullendore, Rowdy Mullendore, Heather Mullendore, Brittany Dossey, Matthew Adams, and Emily Adams; great-grandsons, Four Garton and Tyson Adams; father; Delbert Dossey; sister, Debrah and husband Doug Roark; niece, Tracey Roark; and Nephew, Ryan Roark.
Service was at 11 a.m. Friday September 19, 2008 at New Beginnings Church with the Rev. Larry Sparks officiating. Burial was at Dale Cemetery.
