Mrs. Ida Thompson Rites to Be At 2:30 Friday At Eakly
EAKLY, June 3.--(Special)--Services for Mrs. Ida Thompson, 90, will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Eakly Methodist church with Rev. Clyde Rodolph, pastor officiating. Burial will be in the Eakly cemetery.
Mrs. Thompson died at 4 a.m. Wednesday in the Carnegie hospital. She fell at her home in Eakly May 22 and broke her hip. She was taken to an Anadarko hospital where the fracture was X-rayed and later was returned to her home. She was brought to the Carnegie hospital Sunday.
Ida Leona Smith was born Nov. 14, 1862, in Illinois. She was married to Charles Newton Thompson Feb. 25, 1882. They came to Oklahoma in 1902, locating in the Lookeba - Sickles community. About 1910 they moved to New Mexico and lived there three years. They returned to the Eakly community to make their home in 1915. Mr. Thompson died July 22, 1922, at Eakly.
