Harriet Eloise Dickerson Cummins
Harriet Eloise Dickerson was born January 29, 1987 at Nevada, Vernon County, Missouri, the daughter of Edgar Brownell Dickerson and Margaret Sarah Skelton Dickerson. Harriet Eloise married twice. Her first marriage was to Fred Cummins on December 26, 1915. They had one son, Frederick Harold born in Great Bend, Kansas. Her husband first worked in a bank in Kansas until they moved to Missouri and became farmers. Later they sold the farm, moved to nearby Raymondville, Missouri where they owned and operated a general merchandise store. Fred and Eloise sold the store in late 1948 and retired until early 1951. Then they owned and operated a farm equipment and household appliance store. Fred died September 30, 1951. Eloise moved to California in 1958. She married for the second time in 1961 to a man named Cecil Hunter. Eloise was seriously injured in an auto accident in Visalia, California on November 11, 1979. She died February 16, 1980 in Farmersville, California and is buried in Cabool City Cemetery in Missouri.
