A distinct shock was felt by the many friends and relatives when word was received that Mrs. Rosette Mummery, wife of Stephen Mummery, had passed away Saturday at their Hobart home following a rather brief illness.
Mrs. Mummery is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Reissig, Sr., of Bauer street, Hammond. There are also three sisters, Mrs. Alvin Mummery, Mrs. Gustav Lau, Mrs. Charles H. Mayer, Jr., and one brother, Henry O. Reissig, who survive.
Mrs. Mummery was born August 14, 1882, at Hobart, Ind., and was married September 29, 1908, at Hammond. She was an active member of the Aid Association for Lutherans. The funeral will be held on Tuesday afternoon, December 15, at one o'clock from the home and at two o'clock at the Lutheran church.
