DAVIS J. CABLE, one of Lima's foremost lawyers and financiers, died Sunday May 13th at his country home, Springside farm, after an illness of six months.

He came to Lima in 1880, finished his studies in the law offices of IRA LONGSWORTH and the late S. S. WHEELER and was admitted to the bar in that year.
