Evroul Bernard Bomkamp, 88, of Muscoda passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, May 11, 2006 at Riverdale Healthcare. He was born November 12, 1917 to William and Laura (Kreul) Bomkamp.
Evroul married Mildred Hach on August 20, 1940. Together they farmed in the Clyde and Muscoda area, until they moved to Missouri in 1979 where they enjoyed their retirement until Mildred passed away in 1990. Evroul enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and the rest of his family. He also enjoyed playing cards, driving school bus, fishing, hunting, and camping.
Evroul is survived by seven children; Jim Bomkamp of Rockford, Ron (Deb) Bomkamp of Muscoda, John (Julie) Bomkamp of Muscoda, Jeff (Donna) Bomkamp of Kenosha, Linda (Jim) Kosharek of Highland, Glenda Chamberlain (John Pinkham) of Muscoda, Jean (Roy) Libengood, Elyria, OH, 17 grandchildren; Michael, Todd, Jared, Andy, Brad, Brent, Kathy, Mandy, Angie, Ben, Wade, Sam, Brock, Jamey, Joanna, Mindy, Mark, 12 great-granchildren; Nikki, Morgan, Taylor, Aiden, Jacob, Michael, Kaitlyn, Payton, Dylan, Logan, Vincent, Kennedy, four brothers; Robert (Alice) Bomkamp, Gerald (Alice) Bomkamp, Lauren (Fay) Bomkamp, Marion Bomkamp, four sisters Eudelma Richgels, Rosemary Searles, Bernadine (Dean) Olson, Magdelen McGuire, sister-in-laws Joan Bomkamp, Audrey (John) Honer, many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Evroul was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mildred, son Bill Bomkamp, grandson Christopher Bomkamp, two brothers Delbert Bomkamp, Bernard Bomkamp, brother-in-laws Marion, Richgels, Robert Faga, Ken McGuire, Mike Searles, Melvin Hach, Bernard Hach and one sister-in-laws Mert Bomkamp, and Alice Burdick.
A Mass of Christian Burial were held on Monday, May 15, 2006 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Father Ken Frisch officiating. Burial was held at
St. John the Baptist Catholic cemetery.
Friends called at the Godager Funeral Home in Muscoda on Sunday, May 14, 2006 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM , where a parish rosary was held at 8:00 PM.
