Elvie was born August 7, 1938 in Negaunee, Michigan, daughter of Theodore and Siami (Heikkinen) Rolloff. She graduated from Ewen High School in 1955 and then married Charles Joseph Longrie Jr. on August 27, 1955 in Kenton. Elvie enjoyed making crafts, dolls, crocheting, knitting, and bead work. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary for Post 8945 in Covington.
Surviving were her son James Longrie of Sidnaw; daughter Lois Longrie of Bruce Crossing; brother Richard (Leanne) Rolloff of Missouri; sister Mary Ann Leaf of L'Anse; 10 grandchildren, Scott, Jamey, Andrea, Kristi, Lindsey, Cheryl, Stacy, Renee, Brian, and Jessica; 14 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and close friends.
Preceding her in death were her husband Charles; son Bryan Longrie; daughters Kathleen and Kimberly Longrie; brother William Rolloff; sister Bonnie Jean Norback; and grandson James Longrie Jr.
Funeral: Sidnaw United Methodist Church. The Rev. John Henry officiated.
