Margaret, age 82, a lifelong Pardeeville area resident, died her home after a courageous battle with cancer. Margaret was born the daughter of Jess and Elsie (Hintz) Chapel, in Packwaukee, WI.
In 1935, she was united in marriage to Robert Behling. He preceded her in death in 1936. On May 13, 1939 she was united in marriage to Spencer Ades.
Margaret worked as a bookkeeper for Brittingham and Hixon Lumber for 24 years, retiring in 1979. She then worked at Pardeeville True Value and Ramsey's Floral.
Mrs. Ades was a lifetime member of the First Presbyterian Church in Pardeeville, where she was a former elder, being the second woman to serve that duty. She also was a volunteer at the Helping Hands Food Pantry. Margaret enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by her son, daughter, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, and other near relatives; and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; two brothers, Charles and Harry; and a son, Kerry Ades.
Memorial services held at the First Presbyterian Church in Pardeeville. Inurnment at the Pardeeville cemetery.
