Robert A. Lohr, age 64, died unexpectedly on Sept. 11, 1999 in St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. He was born on Oct. 28, 1934 at the Lohr family farm in the Town of Troy, Sauk County, the son of Walter and Lois (Wagner) Lohr. Bob was a 1953 graduate of the Prairie du Sac High School. He farmed most of his life, worked for the Reedsburg Times-Press and most recently was employed by the Sauk County Health Care Center. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. Survivors include five children, Dr. Joann Lohr (Michael Reardon) of Cincinnati, OH, James Rohr of Reedsburg, Joseph (Michele) Lohr of Reedsburg, Louise (Richard) Boyd, of Reedsburg, and Janice (Theodore) McGinnis of Reedsburg; the mother of his children, Neah Edwards Lohr of Reedsburg; eight grandchildren, John Brian Boyd , Paulina McGinnis, Carrie-Ann Walton, T.J. McGinnis Jr., Phillip McGinnis, Patrick James Walton, Morgan and Ali Nicole Lohr; five brothers and sisters, John (Katherine) Lohr of Sauk City, Norma (Peter) Leahy of Portage, Marion (Edward) Exner of Wisconsin Rapids, Melvin (Doris) Lohr of Prairie du Sac and David (Ruth) Lohr of Prairie du Sac; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services held at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Reedsburg with Pastor John Krueger and Dr. James Steinbrecher officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg assisted the family.
