GRANGER - Beth Ann (Coblentz) Basney, 59, of Granger, passed away
on Sept. 16, due to complications of cancer. She is survived by her
husband, Michael; daughters, Jennifer Shaw and Heather Basney; She
also leaves behind son-in-law, Damian Shaw; grandsons, Jake and Scot
Shaw; sister, Linda Stone; brothers, John Coblentz and Tom Coblentz.
Her parents, Joseph and Muriel Coblentz; and in-laws, Robert and Ann
Basney are deceased. Born and raised in Elkhart, IN, Beth Ann was an
incredibly loving wife and mother to many beyond her biological family. Reading books
and sewing crafts were passions throughout her lifetime. She continuously gifted loved
ones with her advice brought by seasoned life experiences. Beth Ann handmade and
delivered countless baby blankets to family and friends. She proved to us the
sentiment that Mother is always right. Her gifts of kindness and love will be cherished
and missed by all she touched. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in HICKEY Funeral
Home, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Valley
Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 4 to 6:30
p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hello Gorgeous of Hope,
Inc., 1130 Altgeld, South Bend, IN 46614.
