OBIT-- 31 Jul 1945: Julia Malissa DARNELL was born to John M. and Rebecca DARNELL
on 16 September 1873 near Macedonia, Hamilton County, Illinois, and died 23 July 1945. Burial at Masonic and Oddfellows Cemetery, Benton, Illinois. Had she lived until the 26th she would have been married 56 years. On 26 July, 1889 she was married to William A. DAVIS. To this union, 10 children were born: Illinois and Margaret died in infancy. In 1906 they moved to Benton and she joined the Aiken Grove Church near Benton. She is survived by her husband and the following children:

Mrs.Mamie BIGHAM,
James Clifford,
Kerry,
John,
Orval and
Otho DAVIS, all of
Benton; 33 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 2 half-brothers,
Preston KNAPPER of Opdike, Illinois and
Edd KNAPPER of Benton; and a half-sister,
Mrs. Ava EMMERSON of Walnut Grove, California.
