J. H. MOOKER FAILS SURVIVE
John H. Mooker, son of Jacob Mooker, passed away Sunday afternoon at 5:30 o'clock at his home, 556 West Chicago street, of creeping paralysis. Although he had been in failing health for the past four years, his condition did not become serious until four months ago.

Mr. Mooker was born sixty-three years ago, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Mooker, northwest of Valparaiso, and spent the early part of his life there. In 1899 he was married to Esther Prentice, and to this union was born three children.

Surviving besides the widow, are one daughter, Mrs. David Philley of South Bend, and one son, Vernon Mooker. One daughter, Alice, preceded her father in death several years ago. Two grandchildren, Joyce and John David Philley, also survive.

Until illness forced his retirement, Mr. Mooker had been a street car motorman for twenty-six years.

He was a member of the First Baptist church and the Sons of Veterans' organization.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the LePell funeral home, with the Sons of Veterans in charge. Friends may call any time after this evening at the LePell home.
