Pioneer Porter County Resident Dies Late This Morning.
William Henry, age 88 years, a pioneer resident of Porter county, died this morning at 10:30 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mary Selman, 604 North Campbell street. He had been in ill health for a number of years.
Mr. Henry was superintendent of the Porter county infirmary some 35 years ago.
He was a member of the Odd Fellows and Rebekah lodges of this city for more than forty years. His wife preceded him in death a number of years ago.
Memorial arrangements have not been completed, and will be announced tomorrow.

HENRY SERVICE TO BE SUNDAY
Memorial services for William Henry, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mary Selman, 604 North Campbell street, Thursday morning, will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock DST, at the LePell and Son funeral home. Burial will be in Kimball cemetery. Friends are asked to omit flowers.
Friends will be received at the LePell and Son funeral home from 7 o'clock this evening up until time of the services.
Mr. Henry was born on January 30, 1851, in Center township, Porter county, a son of William Henry and Susua (Wise) Henry, and lived in Porter county all his life.
He was married to Ella A. Briggs on Aug. 22, 1874. She preceded him in death on Aug. 1, 1915. Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Mary Selman, seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

The daughter, Mary Selman, mentioned in the obituary was adopted. Her full name is Mary Ora (Beck) Henry Selman. 1880 federal census records for Center Township, Porter County, Indiana, indicate that Mary was adopted by William and Ella Henry.
