Stockton — Mr. Ancil Alden Cornwell, Stockton, a farmer, died Friday in Dade County Nursing Home, Greenfield. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Shady Grove Cemetery, Fair Play, under direction of Brumback Funeral Home, Stockton.

Ancil A. Cornwell, 87, Greenfield, died Friday, March 28, 2003, in Dade County Nursing Home. He was born Feb. 23, 1916, to Pearl Sanders Cornwell and Leonard E. Cornwell.

Mr. Cornwell graduated from Stockton High School and served with the Army Air Corps in the Pacific during World War II. He farmed and lived in the Stockton area his entire life. He was a member of the Stockton Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Floy, also of the Dade County Nursing Home, two stepsons and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers.

Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Monday, March 31, at Shady Grove Cemetery, under direction of Brumback Funeral Home.
