Darcie T. Gaffney, age 39, of Richland Center, died on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at University Hospital in Madison, a true hero following a five year battle with cancer.
She was born in Dunkirk, New York on May 8, 1968. Darcie and Brent Gaffney were married December 7, 2002 in Branson.
She worked as an administrative assistant with Anderson Realty in Richland Center. Her thoughts were always of others, not herself. Her family and extended family were most important.
Survivors include: her husband Brent Gaffney of Richland Center, three children: Seton Sheafor, Sierra Gaffney, and Mariah Gaffney, all of Richland Center, her father Darold Rux of Muscoda, her mother Beverly Rux of Las Vegas, two sisters: Jacque (Jeff) Brandt of Cape Coral, Florida, Debbie (Parrish) Names of Cape Coral, Florida, her grandmother: Virginia Cybulski, her mother in law: Joyce Gaffney of Gotham, her sister in law: Kristi Gaffney and her fiancé Todd Beuthin of Mazomanie, her special friends Kathy Smith and Penny Bahr, as well as many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, several extended family members, other relatives and many friends.
Darcie was preceded in death by her grandfather Chester Cybulski.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at the PRATT MEMORIAL CHAPEL. Burial was held at the Richland Center Cemetery.
Friends called at the PRATT MEMORIAL CHAPEL on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 from 3 PM until 8 PM and also on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 from noon until service time at 1:00 PM.
The family suggests memorials in Darcie's name be donated to them to establish educational funds for the children.
