TAHLEQUAH – Services for Warren G. Ragsdale, 88, will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 18, in the Mt. Zion General Baptist Church, in Teresita. Rev. Jimmy Bell and Rev. Faye Bell will preside. Interment will be held at the Teresita Cemetery. Services have been entrusted to the Hart Funeral Home.

Warren was born May 27, 1920, in Tahlequah, to the late Benjamin Ragsdale and Willie Nora Jones Ragsdale. He was a lifelong resident of the Tahlequah area.

Warren was married to Della A. (Hitchcock) on March 23, 1946, in Muskogee. Warren was employed as a truck driver for the Pittsburg Plate Glass Co., in Tulsa. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving for five years in the European theater during World War II. He was an active member of Teamsters Union Local 523. Warren was a member and deacon of the Mt. Zion General Baptist Church, in Teresita. He enjoyed his church and his church family, coon hunting, golfing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Warren Ragsdale departed this life on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008, in Tulsa. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Marilyn Coppedge; and eight brothers and sisters.

Survivors include wife, Della, of the home; one son, Alfred Ragsdale and wife, Linda, of Tahlequah; daughters Mildred Graham and husband, Leon, of Broken Arrow, Sue Carman and Jane Osti Hitchcock, both of Tahlequah; one brother, Tom Ragsdale, of Tulsa; one sister, Corena Hayhurst, of Tahlequah; brother-in-law Herb Hitchcock, of Tahlequah; seven grandchildren, Wendy Briggs, Courtney Summers, and Nic Larmon, all of Tahlequah, George Coppedge of Prague, Czech Republic, Kimberly Graham and Catherine Graham, both of Broken Arrow, and Heather Powell and husband, Ferris, of Teresita; three great-grandchildren, Afton Kessinger and husband, Cameron, Austin Briggs and Bailey Ragsdale; many friends and loved ones, and a large and loving church family.Hart Funeral Home, 1506 N.
