Rollie Nathan "Bill" Kimbley, Jr, 87, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2008 in Amarillo, Texas. Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, September 18, 2008 at First Baptist Church with Owen Goff, Associate Pastor of Fellowship Church, Grapevine, officiating. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery with flag detail by American Legion Post #224 of Dumas. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors.

Bill Kimbley was born October 20, 1920 in Washington County, Oklahoma to Rollie and Susie Kimbley, Sr. He was in the US Army during WWII and served as a tank gunner in the Battle of the Bulge. On November 22, 1941 he married Betty Gene Jenkins who preceded him in death April 2002. Bill started in the field at Shamrock Oil & Gas in 1941 and at his retirement in 1983 he was general manager of the McKee Plant and was an Assistant Vice-President of Diamond Shamrock. After his retirement he continued as a consultant for 7 years. He had been a resident of Dumas since 1941, was a member of First Baptist Church, and a longtime member of American Legion Post #224 of Dumas.

He was preceded in death by his son, Billy Nathan Kimbley and his sister, Lavenia Blaylock.

Survivors include; daughters, Beverly Goff and husband, Owen of Grapevine, Patt Harrell and husband, Butch of Beaumont; sons, Gary Kimbley and wife, Amy of Lubbock, John Kimbley of Beaumont; Eleven grandchildren, one deceased and nine great-grandchildren.
