Dorie worked at CTS in the office in late 1940's but worked at St. Joseph Valley Bank in downtown Elkhart for many years till the family moved to Los Angeles area of California in 1968 and then to Kokomo, Indiana in 1972. After Mel's retirement they moved to Fort Meade and then Lake Wales, Florida. Dorie never met a stranger and had a great sense of humor. She died in Florida. She was cremated.
