Donald Pyeatt b.1898-d1917 at Jefferson barrcks. he is the son of Herschel S.Pyeatt and Bella F. Willson Pyeatt who died in 1899, and his dad sent him to live with his aunt and uncle in Springfield, MO. his older sister and brother went with Herschels dad and mom in CA. I don't think any of them ever returned home except to visit. Donald being adopted? I don't ever rember hearing that he was.
The stone does say he was the adopted son of the Hinkleys. So maybe his name was never formerly changed, but they did perhaps call him, and think of him as a son.
