Charles V. Janes, 79, of Memphis, retired employee of Lawrence Furniture Co., died yesterday at Methodist Hospital North. Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Park. He was a member of Coleman Avenue Church of Christ. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Alba Davis Janes; a son, Darrell Janes of Memphis; a stepson, Gailon Goolsby of Ripley, Miss.; a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Belcher of Walnut, Miss.; a brother, Lee Janes of Ashland, Miss.; five grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.
