Dies Age 85 At Wheeler
George Fredrick Shearer, lifelong resident of Porter county, died Monday evening at 7:45 o'clock at his home in Wheeler. He had been in ill health for the last four years.
The decedent was 85 years, 11 months and 14 days of age. His wife preceded him in death seven years ago.
Surviving are three sons, Algle and Richard, of Valparaiso, and Fred, of Gary; one daughter, Misss Daisy Shearer, residing at home; 13 grandchildre and 19 great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at the LePell funeral home Tuesday on Monroe street, with the Rev. Alvin Vanderwalker of the Wheeler Methodist chiurch, officiating. Burial will be in Salem cemetery.
