Kenneth Adrian Knose, 79, of Columbus, Indiana and formally of Berne, Indiana passed away at 4:07 a.m. Sunday, September 14, 2008 in Columbus, Indiana.
Kenneth was born on August 2, 1929 in Harrison, Ohio the son of Kenneth and Alfretta (Kalb) Knose, both deceased. He married H. Rebecca "Becky" Fess on February 19, 1950.
Kenneth was a member of the Cross Community Church of Berne, Indiana. Kenneth and Becky joined Wilber and Lucille Fess in the ownership and operation of the Ben Franklin Store in Berne, Indiana in 1964. He retired from that business in 1997. Kenneth also enjoyed traveling to Mexico and visiting with his family. He also enjoyed following the stock market.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Becky; a daughter Jenny (Frank) Miller of Columbus, Indiana; a daughter, Cynthia (Keith) Neuenschwander of Goshen, Indiana; a brother Gerald L. Knose of Houston, Texas: a granddaughter, Rachel Miller of Muncie, Indiana; a granddaughter, Brenda Neuenschwander of Goshen, Indiana; a granddaughter, Emily James of Lyles, Indiana; and a granddaughter, Megan Miller of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Kenneth was preceded in death by a sister K. Laverne Knose.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, September 18, 2008 at the Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home in Berne, Indiana. Interment will follow in the M.R.E. Cemetery of rural Berne, Indiana.
Friends and family will be received from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at Yager-Kirchhofer.
Preferred memorials are to Hospice of South Central Indiana (Columbus) or Swiss Village.
