Eddie H. Coker Funeral Rites Held On Sunday
Eddie H. Coker, 77, died at Barry Saturday evening.
Funeral services were held Sunday at 4 p.m. from the First Baptist church at Barry. Burial was in the Dresden cemetery. The rites were conducted by Rev. A. J. Kirkland, pastor of the Missionary Baptist church.
He formerly resided in Corsicana.
Surviving are five sons, Edgar, Burnise and Wesley Coker, all of Barry; Vestle Coker, Dallas, and Benard Coker, Corsicana; five daughters, Mrs. G. C. Cooper and Mrs. Clarence Burnett, both of Barry; Mrs. Rex Bower, Mrs. Ed Higginbotham and Mrs. G. H. Hill, all of Corsicana; 43 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchilren, and a half-brother, W. T. Beard, Emhouse, and other relatives.
Pallbearers were Howard Cooper, J. T. Cooper, Billy Cooper, Rex Bower, Jr.; Robert S. Bower, Melvin Lois Bower.
Corley Funeral Home directed.
Husband of Mary Emmazell (Snell) Coker; son of John Dennis Wesley Coker & Alice Emily Luticia (Hood) Coker.
